This shrine stands atop a hill overlooking Fukae Port in Oga. The samurai Oga is revered as the guardian deity. Starting from the third lord of Hiji Domain, Toshinaga Kinoshita, it has been reconstructed by successive generations of the Kinoshita Clan. After World War 2 ended, Kaiten Jinja, the shrine honoring the victims of the human torpedo program, was relocated inside the shrine grounds. A 1:3 scale mockup of a kaiten torpedo was also installed here.
On the 2nd Sunday of October, a memorial ceremony takes place at an annual festival held here.
